Sparring Session
**Baron Daniel Smith He steps back a few times and reaches over for his scabbard. He grabs onto the handle of the sword and swiftly draws it out, taking it in both of his hands to raise it up by his chest at a defensive stance. Once taking a wider stance he'd speak and say "Let us train until we are too tired to continue."
**Dame Katherine Mellinstone swiftly removes her own sword from its sheathe, twirling it around within her right hand for a moment before taking stance. "Very well." she then strides to the left a couple of times, suddenly leaping forward with a heavy swing aimed towards the Barons' left side.
**Baron Daniel Smith He keeps his attention focused on her and her sword, holding his own up ready for a block. Upon seeing her sudden lunge forward and attempt at a heavy swing he'd swing his blade out, in a quick block but holding his hands firm to simply prevent the blade from striking him. After doing so, he'd hope she would need to recover after such a large swing, swishing his own blade back and then swinging it in back towards her sword, hoping to knock it aside and leave her exposed.
**Dame Katherine Mellinstone 's sword would indeed collide with the Baron's, the force of the strike at such an early stage of the spar exposes her to danger, at realization of such she'd quickly retract her blade, moving her feet swiftly back a few steps, as the pairs blades collide for a second time the strength of the Barons blade would indeed knock the sword to the side, exposing her to another attack.
**Baron Daniel Smith With her guard exposed he'd reposition his sword and point it outwards, lunging in with a sudden step closer and swinging it inwards to slap the side of her ribs with the broadside of his sword to try and end the first duel with a victory.
**Dame Katherine Mellinstone would quickly swing her blade back towards the Barons in attempt to parry the attack, if successful she'd swing a boot out towards his shin, using all her strength to try and push the Baron's blade away from her person.
**Baron Daniel Smith He'd have his own sword stopped just by hers, suddenly swinging the blade back around in reverse to bring it up towards himself and return to a defensive position. Once being kicked he does stagger slightly, but maintains his defensive. Taking a moment to recover while he focuses on her.
**Dame Katherine Mellinstone would quickly step back and recover her stance as the Baron recovers his own, as she does she'd smirk, taking a quick step forwards with her blade making a sudden over-arm swing towards the centre of the Baron's head, with the flat side of course.
**Baron Daniel Smith He sees as she comes in with the short blade, making her way in towards him and swinging downwards. He suddenly raises his sword up and turns his arms, blocking the swing easily before he simply just turns the blade and swings the sword downward and forward to slap her on the forehead with the broadside of his long blade, already beneath her line of defence.
**Dame Katherine Mellinstone retracts her blade as he taps her forehead with his blade. She doesn't waste any time and goes in for a second attack, this time the blade comes in from the side, headed towards the right side of the Barons' torso, as she done this she'd quickly change her position, shifting to the right.
**Baron Daniel Smith He'd pull his blade back after striking her with it and begins to lower it, seeing her not stopping in the duel he'd quickly back off, but be tapped barely by the side of her blade as she'd suddenly move over towards the right. "You know, the match was over once I had hit you first?"
**Baron Daniel Smith He'd take a few steps back after the first match had ended and raises his sword up again. He steps a distance from her to allow his longer blade to reach before he'd come in with a sudden horizontal swing towards her lower left thigh, hoping to send a quick attack towards it.
**Dame Katherine Mellinstone would quickly send her blade out to meet his just before her thigh, due to the size difference she'd quickly step in towards the Baron, closing the distance and effectiveness of his sword.
**Baron Daniel Smith As she moves in to close the distance he twists his sword around to lock her blade in with his handguard. After doing this he'd raise one of his legs up and send a quick kick to push her backwards while angling the sword inwards to tap her butt if she'd stagger back from the kick.
**Dame Katherine Mellinstone held the Baron's blade back, even placing her sword into a second hand to assist in doing so, as he'd kick her she'd stagger back slightly but rectifies the situation but sliding over to the right, quickly retracting her blade and placing it back in front of her to defend herself from any further attacks.
**Baron Daniel Smith He'd return his blade towards himself and hold it up defensively, opening a space between them but allowing him the distance to strike her with his longsword. He observes her momentarily before suddenly lunging out and swinging the sword out to slap the side of her head, but faking the attack and readjusting the swing to move it downwards and strike her on the side of the leg.
**Dame Katherine Mellinstone takes advantage of the space and repositions her feet, as the Baron goes to strike for her head she'd bring the blade up to parry, quickly realising the nature of the attack, her blade would come back down instantly and collide with the Baron's just before her leg, attempting to bring both the swords around to center, making sure the Baron's blade cannot simply slide across and make contact with her.
**Baron Daniel Smith He would clash her blade against her block, drawing it back and retracting himself from harms way as she'd slide her sword to meet the center of his blade. He'd then make one last, sudden step back to appear to distance himself before he suddenly swings the end of the blade to try and slap her on the opposite side with the flat side of the top end of his sword.
**Dame Katherine Mellinstone would also retract herself slightly from the conflict, bringing her sword down to parry the second attack on the opposite side, as the two blades clash the weight and strength of the Barons blade would knock the sword out from her right hand, it would however deflect the attack, she'd look down to the blade before facing the Baron. "Hm.."
