Whilst inside the dungeon, Emily realized she was being a useless prick and decided to do something with her life. She used various skills whilst using a pitchfork pinning weapons to the ground and attempting to use defensive and offensive moves to assist her and her friends. I would hope my polearm skill goes up a short amount. She used her shirt to tie a wound shut and then was given robes by Glacius. Other than only fighting she also used her head a lot of the time. Example. When they couldn't figure out what to do, Emily pointed out strategies like throwing rocks at the bandits and how to mend a wound and/or stop the bleeding correctly. She also carried out a wounded man out of the dungeon possibly saving his life.
(Explaining the spear) So whilst I was in the dungeon I pinned a spearmen's spear in the ground with my pitchfork, after killing the spearmen. Emily grabbed his spear and with pitchfork in one hand and spear in the other she charged at the swordsmen directly left of her, missing him and getting her pitchfork hit down. She never dropped said spear so if you'd accept that answer that is my request. Thank you.
Emily decided to go with Glacius back into the dungeon. They entered and they were all tested in different skills, Emily included. Emily at the beginning was given Glacius's spear and so she now has and Iron Capped Spear. With the first 4 bandit's she was able to stab one in the thigh and dig it further in with a push. In the fight against 6 more bandits, she was able to make a few strikes at one of the bandit's legs and chest and successfully wounded him. She made the decision to stop her action and save herself by complying with the bandits.

Emily decided to try and make something of her time by reading about the light, what it is, and its history. She spent hours with her head in the books studying them almost to the word as she is trying to learn something new. (Proof)
**Emily Truthcaller Opens the chest in the room and pulls out a book titled "History of the Light"
**Emily Truthcaller walks over to her bed and leans on the wall opening the first page to begin
If one would look to the sky, they would see a red scar stretch along the sky. A sign seen only once every one-hundred years.
**Emily Truthcaller reading the book on light it reads "The Light (Known as Holy Light) is a mysterious and benevolent force in the universe. It resides in every living being, in every heart and soul. The Light is positive energy, it is every where binding all sentient creatures together as one. Like the Shadow, the light is one of the two most fundemental forces in the universe and one cannot exist without the other."
The fog thickens.
Emily Truthcaller says "This is fascinating, nothing I don't know yet though."
This stretch of red continues on before it's course changes. A ball of flame begins to decend on the Karrack forest.
**Emily Truthcaller flipping the page she reads "The Light is the source of all life in the cosmos. Pure Light Dwells in a realm outside the borders of reality but can manifest itself in the physical world as "Holy magic."
Emily Truthcaller says "It seems I am getting somewhere."
**Emily Truthcaller flips the page and it reads "Most of the time, the Light will manifest itself as a golden shining light though it has also appeared as white silver light. Both Priests and Paladins are trained to wield the Holy Light. Others such as druids are also trained to use the light though the light tends to appear through moon light and nature opposed to a Paladin or Priests rare form of light."
The ground rocks with pain, rumbling in the Karrack region.
Emily Truthcaller says "Wow! I didn't know that, this really is a fascinating book."
Emily Truthcaller says "Why haven't I read this?"
**Emily Truthcaller with a smile on her face she flips the page.
**Emily Truthcaller Peering at the page it reads "The Effects of the light is often said to bring about feelings of positive emotion, hope, courage and comfort and a feeling of coming from the heart. The Light grants Paladins and priests additional power against the undead, ensuring that these profane beings corrupt the world no longer. Its power is agonizingly painful and destructive to them. The souls of undead are imperfectly attached to their bodies; the dark magic that sustains them is a buffer that prevents thieir souls from properly joining with their bodies. This is why undead feel only faint sensations of pain or discomfort from most physical stimuli as well as to why the light is so painful to their existence."
Emily Truthcaller says "Hmm."
Emily Truthcaller says "So the light is dangerous to evil."
Emily Truthcaller says "That is something I need to keep in mind."
Emily Truthcaller says "Aww, there's only one page left. "
**Emily Truthcaller flipping to the last page it reads "Worship of the light tends to practice around chapels where prayer is common. It is said that when a region lacks faith in the light, the region begins to suffer plagues and other nasty tendancies. It is only recently demonic incursions have been added to this list."
Emily Truthcaller says "I can use this knowledge, it seems it can be beneficial in the future. I just hope that I can learn more within the course of the next couple of months. What I am hearing and seeing outside isn't pleasant. I fear that becoming strong is the best course of action. I have a lot of work to do. "
**Emily Truthcaller she places the book she previously read back into the chest and shifts books around in search of something else. "What's this" she says as she pulls a book called "The Nether"
Emily Truthcaller says "Hmm."
Emily Truthcaller says "I suppose I will read this aswell."
**Emily Truthcaller turns her head and takes a couple steps back to read once more.
**Emily Truthcaller Sits on her bed leaning against the wall and opening the novel.
**Emily Truthcaller turns the cover revealing the title once more and text below "The Nether - the line between the ebb of Light and the flow of Void - is an ethereal dimension of chaotic magics that connected the myriad worlds of the universe together. In Sevilidan, volatile arcane magic is concentrated rather evenly throughout the lands, only being more potent in key ancient areas once used for very power Arcanic rituals that where used as catalysts for powerful castings of long forgotten spells and incantations. "
Emily Truthcaller says "Wow! This place sounds interesting."
**Emily Truthcaller turning the page her facial expression shows that she is curious. The next page reads "Dragons are the foremost experts on Arcane Magic in Sevilidan, having been doing ritualistic incantations and spells since long before Humanity found it's way into the world and are by far the most adept and powerful beings that dwell in the Knowledge of Arcanic powers and the Nether. The Dragons originally began their manipulation of the Chaotic Energies that reside in the Nether by using rare gemstones enchanted by them to act as Catalysts to call on the stash of Arcanic Magic in the Nether. This caught on eventually once the Dragons had given the gift of knowledge on the Arcanes to Humanity, becoming a trademark almost to the most powerful Mages, the Catalyst Gem standing proudly atop a finely crafted staff of some sort to serve as a complete conduit for the caster to use. By their use of these Gems it gave them the ability to amplify their spellcasting abilities immensely until further on in their advancement, the m
Emily Truthcaller says "How old are these books?"
Emily Truthcaller says "Dragons are long since gone."
**Emily Truthcaller flips the page revealing the next bit of text. After the Dragons spread their knowledge, centuries later the races of Sevilidan adapted it to their own needs and uses, along with it came their own methods of teaching it. The Pinnacle of Arcanic studies emerged from the Guild of Magi. A very selective and orderly gathering of Mages that decided it would be best to keep the use of the Arcanes in very strict guideline, aswell as forbidding certain uses of magics like Necromancy or Blood Magics. Along with this decision came the discoveries and laws of Magic. "
Emily Truthcaller says "All of this about Dragons, necromancy, and blood magic. None of this applies to what I need."
**Emily Truthcaller reading the next page it says "The Nether (also known as the endless void, and nether world) is the astral plane between worlds, described as the line between the ebb of Light and the flow of Void. It is said that in the beginning there was Light and there was Void and a time long ago, the two collided in the abyss of the Great Dark, which the Nether overlaps with. The Nether is an ethereal dimension of chaotic magics that connected the myriad worlds of the universe. There are a thousand ways to perceive it. Every voyager sees the Nether differently, depending on circumstance, form, and state of mind. "
Emily Truthcaller says "This seems to go more into it."
Emily Truthcaller says "I could use this knowledge."
Emily Truthcaller says "Hmm."
**Emily Truthcaller Flips to the last page revealing the next text. "The Nether is separated from the physical universe but there are physical objects. It transcends all realities and is normally imperceptible to mortals. Those that enter the Nether rarely return."
Emily Truthcaller says "So it is rare for anyone to exit it huh? I guess that's not something I will be able to pursue in the near future. If it's real that is."
**High Priest Glacius comes back with two oak rods, both the length of a fair Pole arm "These are meant for church construction, but they will serve as training tools today..."
**High Priest Glacius nods, placing his staff against the stone wall of the church and offering the Priestess one of the wooden rods
**Priestess Emily Truthcaller grabs the wooden rod. (Oh my )
**Priestess Emily Truthcaller puts her right hand further up the shaft of the wooden rod and her left lower, she rests it close to her hip.
**High Priest Glacius nods "Right, now hold the stick in front of you, both hands grasping at the middle but thumb length apart"
**Priestess Emily Truthcaller adjusts her hands towards the middle and extends her thumbs. Priestess Emily Truthcaller says "Like this?"
High Priest Glacius says "Now, spread your hands apart to where your thumbs are a few inches away from touching"
**Priestess Emily Truthcaller spreads her hands apart to the point he asked. Priestess Emily Truthcaller says "Like this?" High Priest Glacius says "Yes."
High Priest Glacius says "Now, Im going to get into the same position and I want you to go for a wide swing at my side from the right."
**Priestess Emily Truthcaller her hands staying in the same spot, she swings wide to his right in an arc.
**High Priest Glacius promptly brings his own stick forward, assuming the same position he had instructed his apprentice to take (Before she swung obviously) after having registered that she was swinging Glacius would twist his arms to the right, and putting his stick into a up down position, allowing her staff to smack against the length of it with an audible wooden bonk.
**Priestess Emily Truthcaller holds it there awaiting further instructions. High Priest Glacius says "Do you see how easy that was for me?"
Priestess Emily Truthcaller says "Yes, I did." Priestess Emily Truthcaller says "All you had to do was move your spear into an up down patter and stopped the blow." High Priest Glacius says "And of course, gesture myself towards where I was pointing my staff"
High Priest Glacius says "Now...watch how I follow up, dont worry I will do it slow as to not harm you, just hold your staff where it is as if you are still just hitting my staff."
**High Priest Glacius slowly thrusts his spear holding arms outwards, causing the staff to lightly bonk her staff away then following up by pointing his staff towards Emily from his left side and thrusting it forward slowly as to touch her gut
High Priest Glacius says "If this was a spear, you would have a wound now." **Priestess Emily Truthcaller repeating what she was taught she holds it vertically to the ground.
High Priest Glacius says "Take a defensive pose, I shall do you, I will be swinging for your right."
**Priestess Emily Truthcaller taking a defensive pose she has the spear to her right side. High Priest Glacius says "No, hold it in the middle like I first taught you and as I swing transition."
**Priestess Emily Truthcaller holds the spear in the defensive format he taught her. (Infront)
**High Priest Glacius brings his staff up and swings it towards her at a wide and high arc **Priestess Emily Truthcaller seeing his attack she holds it vertically to her right awaiting the connection and then pushing it back. Pulling it back and switching it to a horizontal form facing him and then lightly thrusting.
**Priestess Emily Truthcaller readies her spear in a defensive position spear in front both hands near the middle.
**High Priest Glacius takes up the very same defensive position
**High Priest Glacius immediately paces around Emily, stepping forward and thrusting his spear up towards her upper chest
**Priestess Emily Truthcaller seeing as he is thrusting at her chest she pushes her spear up connecting with his and using that momentum to give another small push in attempts to raise it even higher.
**High Priest Glacius would have his staff knocked upwards, but Glacius knew what to do here, letting his arms fall down, twisting his staff the opposite way and aiming the blunt end of the stick for her thicc left thigh.
**Priestess Emily Truthcaller she would attempt to pivet her staff vertically and hold it to the ground of course since he had the advantage here it wouldn't be directly up and down but at an angle. (Your counter was faster so my defense is a little off)
**High Priest Glacius promptly pulled back, twisting his staff around in his hands and going for a shallow swing towards her right side
**Priestess Emily Truthcaller Having the position advantage she can easily transition her rod to her right side vertically awaiting connection and pushing Glacius's staff back the way he swung leaving an opening and piveting her own rod horizontally and attempting at a thrust to the middle of his chest whilst the opportunity sits.
This lesson included countering, polearm defence and attacking.
**[|6'6|BrownHair|MuscularFigure|BlueEye...] would begin to pray to his lord, for he knows when he dies, he will go to heaven
**The guards raise their spears, pointing it at the tall peasant and ask. "Heser'y now? What d' we do wit' this heretic then?"
Sir Daniel Smith says "Priestess, do what you need with these guardsmen."
Priestess Emily Truthcaller says "Grab him, follow me, set up a stake and burn the heretic."
Sir Daniel Smith says "I want this heretic out of my sight." **The guards would nod as they grabbed his arms dragging him. Following the priestess.
[|6'6|BrownHair|MuscularFigure|BlueEye...] yells "HELP, HELP, IM BEING REPRESSED!!!"
Priestess Emily Truthcaller yells "HERETIC!"
**The guards would hold the man as the Priestess says "Set up a stake and bring me a torch for this heretic will burn." The guards would do as she asked with an expression of filth towards the heretic in which they are glad to participate in watching burn. They swiftly set up the stake, mount on the heretic, and hand the priestess the torch in which had been pre-lit.
**[|6'6|BrownHair|MuscularFigure|BlueEye...] says "Please, No!!" Priestess Emily Truthcaller drops the stick onto the pile of sticks and logs where the stake lies and as she does so it heats up the man and later burns him to nothing but ash and bone.
**[|6'6|BrownHair|MuscularFigure|BlueEye...] Screams as he is burned at the stake.
Emily Truthcaller walks away from the pitiful sight.
Sir Daniel Smith says "Is the heretic dead?"
Priestess Emily Truthcaller says "The heretic has perished."
Sir Daniel Smith says "Good."
Priestess Emily Truthcaller says "Filthy scum like him are the reason the moral of beastmen have gone up."
**High Priest Glacius promptly forced his spear into the dirt and pulled free the oak longbow from his back
High Priest Glacius says "So...from what I have seen, you're suppose to grab hold of the weapon with your less dominant hand and draw with the other"
Priestess Emily Truthcaller says "Pff."
High Priest Glacius says "Excuse me?"
Priestess Emily Truthcaller says "Bows are rediculous."
High Priest Glacius says "Are you left or right handed?"
Priestess Emily Truthcaller says "Right handed."
High Priest Glacius says "Good, I am the same."
Priestess Emily Truthcaller says "Hmm."
**High Priest Glacius looks the bow over, firmly grasping his left hand over the leather binded grip and holding it infront of him straight armed
**Priestess Emily Truthcaller inspects his movements and how he draws the bow.
**High Priest Glacius takes his right hand and brings it around to his backside, pulling from his makeshift quiver and draws a single plain oak dart of sorts, the tip only be sharpened wood and the end being carved into for wings
**High Priest Glacius he'd blink a few times and bring the arrow up, pressing the opened notch against the wire and holding it "Alright..." he'd simply state, pulling back against the pullstring partway and prematurely letting go, the arrow springs forth lopsided and smacks against the hay block "Ehm....ignore that."
**Priestess Emily Truthcaller giggles.
High Priest Glacius says "Hey, using a bow isnt easy!"
Priestess Emily Truthcaller says "I suppose I wouldn't do much better."
Priestess Emily Truthcaller says "You'll have to personally assist me in getting my hands in the right places on the bow."
High Priest Glacius says "From what Im gathering here....you should not rely only on your pull string arm to pull, perhaps make a more fluid motion of pulling and pushing with both arms...and one can only assume that you must look down the arrow for guidance....I shall try.""
Priestess Emily Truthcaller says "Good luck!"
**High Priest Glacius nods "Thank you apprentice." he'd state with a warm smile, looking the bow over once more and reaching for his quiver for yet another crude wooden bolt like arrow, notching it and pulling back on the string whilst also pushing the bow's shaft forward, the sound of the wood creaking and giving to the newly found pull is heard, the priest's arm beginning to shake lightly under the 120 pounds of force behind the string and with no warning what so ever he released the wire from his hands, a sudden "WOOSH" being heard as the string flies forth and propels the bolt forward, it impales the target but off to the side, no where near the center where he was aiming
High Priest Glacius says "That was better..."
Priestess Emily Truthcaller says "I'd have to agree."
Priestess Emily Truthcaller says "It stuck this time."
High Priest Glacius says "Yes....I would have to say so.....but....accuracy was my issue....perhaps I need to curve the angle of my bow....and use the shaft of the arrow much like a guide?"
Priestess Emily Truthcaller says "Perhaps, that may allow you to see your arrows course better."
Priestess Emily Truthcaller says "And/or pattern in which you believe it to travel."
**High Priest Glacius nods, promptly tilting his bow towards the right and leveling off the new arrow ontop, pulling and pushing on the bow until the string is completely back once more, arms shaking with raw power of the strike to soon come, a muffled groan escaped the man, clearly the longbow's power was a bit much for the average strength man, never the less he took what time he could to level his eye off with the shaft of the arrow and down towards his target, a slightly audible huff of air escaping him in his final moments and just like before his fingers released with an audible woosh and snap of the string, sending the arrow forth and nailing the haybale, the arrow didn't strike true with his aim completely but it hit just below, this was a victory to him.
**Priestess Emily Truthcaller applauses
Priestess Emily Truthcaller says "Wonderful job."
Priestess Emily Truthcaller says "Im impressed."
Priestess Emily Truthcaller says "I definitely couldn't do that."
This lesson was a brief introduction to longbows and bows alike for both Glacius and Emily. Emily didn't actually wield the bow but she closely inspected Glacius as he attempted at some shots, it was a learning experience to both of them and Emily will put this knowledge to use once she has a bow that better fits her Physique.
First Entry: Physical and Mental Training With Emily
**Glacius decided after having brushed up against his archery training with Emily that it was time for the two to work out like they did the other day, so he thought up a work out that would work out their strength, endurance and willpower.
**Glacius borrowed two sizeable logs from Sir Smith's storage with his permission and handed one to his apprentice, telling her of a scenario that would help her focus on the task at hand, telling her to treat the log much like a shield she was holding above her head to ward off arrows that were raining down on them, he also told her however that if she stopped she would be shot in the back by a leveled off arrow. Encouraging the young beastkin to push herself beyond her limits by using her hypothetical will to live.
**The two then set off, starting at the city's front gate and running all the way to the other side of the river, where glacius then decided to offer Emily an out, a simple break to catch her breath as a task to see if she would take the easy out. But the young apprentice did him proud, refusing his offer for a moment to stop and insist on returning in the same manner and so the two did, once again running across the wooded path until they reached the city's wooden gate.
