Hey, it's important that players read this thread because this thread is probably the most empowering system on the forums other then the character sheet system. Lets begin.
As a character you might want to learn a skill or even magics but you'll run into a OOC issue which is: "There is no player to teach me or even sell the books!"
This is not the end of the world for you as this event section exists and is designed for especially you! If you are in need of somthing someone in the server can not provide, you can always request an event in this forum section in which you'll tell me who your character is and detail what you are looking for. I will then take this thread you've made and generate it into a informational piece that will generate a event in which you can participate in to gain what you need. The best part is that the event wont always be a large player based event such as crawling into a dungeon.
An example of this might be that you are a thief but do not know how to pick pocket. Due to the lack of players who participate in thievery you will make a thread detailing what you're looking for an I will reply:
"Hey, you're after learning how to pick pocket. Judging from your skills it looks like you might be capable of doing so, just lacking on the players to teach you. There for when you are next on, please contact me as I will prepare a catered event for you. This event will consist of your character perhaps walking into a bar and asking afew questions which may/may not lead you to obtaining what you're after."
In short, there is plenty of opportunities and any GM may answer your request in these forums.
