Eithne Varnhem was assigned to work on new, advanced and upgraded equipment for peasantry that can be used on farms and lands for more efficiency by Count Daniel Smith. Before agreeing, she'd negotiate that no boundaries with nature shall be broken and the payment that would be given at the end of successful projects. As the lord agreed, the Elf proceeded towards his lands to inspect them.
Having medium knowledge about the current farming technology, the druid arrived in the first farm and, stating she was hired by their landlord, asked the farmers to show her around. She'd quickly take note of the equipment the peasants were using: simple tools made of iron, wheel barrows, etc.. Nothing too impressive, but nothing that would make you widen your eyes in amazement. She'd take a couple of hours of her time to observe the workers at their job and habits, as well as understand the soil and the work that is needed to get it fertile.
In the next days, she'd travel to a couple of others farms owned by the Count, and did the same: assessed the equipment, the people working and the grounds they're working on. She'd keep mental notes, as well as primitive drawings, in the mean time to keep everything in check.
When she'd be content with her observations, she'd move into the woods for a couple of days and amongst the trees she'd think, create, destroy and remaster her ideas, drawings scattered all around her place.
Finally, her creation would be complete: A creation of metal and earth. A simple, yet clever contraption that would be most accurately described as a plow. It wouldn't differ from the plows we'd know in our world, but it would most likely an ingenious piece of equipment in this one.
The plow would be attached to a horse or any other animal that's able of towing the huge size of this thing, which would later be pushed onto the fertile ground, allowing easy access for farmers to spread their seeds (:]) in the earth.
She'd take the drawings to the Count's halls and ask for an audience. Once before him, she'd present him the idea, and if one would see the potential in it - help his engineers and smiths in constructing the prototype, explaining things she couldn't write down in the drawings.
TECHNICAL NOTES:
This plow, when build and made as a standard equipment, would most likely increase the production rate of farmers doing their job to 1.5x or 2x.
Up to adminges.
