The Kingdom of Surna & It's brief History
Surna is a nation of humans that had been founded over one-hundred reckonings ago under separation from the Holy Empire during war of succession between the Brightlord's children and their respective Lords of Fire. The War of succession led to the creation of the Surnan nation and the rise of the Dragunsurn dynasty; a direct line from the bright lord taking power. After the succession war, humanity split throughout the land with many humans settling south and into the Ashenland. Despite such loss of territory the Holy Empire; now Surna still commanded conciderable land capable of rivaling both the Mithril Kingdom and Shal'thalar. Under Dragunsurns reign much remained as before, the king would even advocate for the creation of Holy Order of Knights known as the Eternal Flame however many reckonings later the son of the first High Lord would kill his king in cold blood before fleeing across the sea leaving the capital empty devoid of even corpses. These events would lead into another war of succession which would last for 10 reckonings finally leading to the crowning of an Lord of Fire as King. This Lord of Fire would be known as Sisk Rathmore. The Rathmore's would during the third age bring the country around into control as he gave power to rivaling Lords of Power and rewarded those for service under he.
Reckonings later, Surna is but a shell of it's former self with Lords of Fire reigning absolute in their rule and the people would suffer for it for the curse of humanity inflicted all. Understand that before the first Brightlord humanity walked Sevilidan in their primordial forms known as Ashen ones. The Ashen Ones are a deformed and back-thinking primordial race of humans with a lack of connection to the Light or magic. It is said that those who revert to their primordial selves loose themselves - what they had been as a pure human. Many Ashen ones are rendered insane by their rot and others even loose trace of even ethical thought. This of course is the curse of which humanity is wrought in Sevilidan, the Ashen curse for since the death of the Brightlord all of humanity has suffered this fate.
What is a Primordial Human -Ashen One?
Ashen Ones differ in appearance, the older one is the more it shows in appearance. Ashen ones tend to have blackened marks on their skin as well as pure white eyes devoid of emotion or thought. Whilst the Ashen one can think for himself and operate as a normal man, they are ridden will many ills such as the rotting of their skin and insanity which creeps at their mind constantly prodding at their thoughts to finally break one. The Ashen ones tend to live in tribes and often make living through raiding settlements of other primordial humans and pure humans alike. Many Ashen ones sell themselves as sell-swords or offer themselves as servants to the Lords of Fire.
What is a Lord of Fire?
A Lord of Fire is a Human, primordial or not who rules Land within the Surnan Kingdom as a Vassel directly or indirectly of the Rathmores. The first Lords of Fire differ much from the Lords of Fire now as origionally the Lords had been risen up by the first bright Lord as leaders to lead humanity where the Lord felt disconnect. However over time the Lords succumbed to their human motives as they often lived in riches and sought only more power. When the death of the Bright Lord came it would be the Lords of Fire which would advocate for war and fight amongst themselves for power until the son of the Bright Lord Dragunsurn managed to reel the Lords power under his control. However many reckonings later after the death of Dragunsurn the Lords of Fire once again would quarrel for power and this time after ten reckonings would finally seize that power. With their power came only them granting themselves more power and the suffering of man would truelove begin with their reign.
