Main Characters

Dacius used to be a catalyst for RP, not main character, from what I understand.

Now he's just a human, a player like every other.

Certainly not a main protagonist.

I made this post before whatever happened today, and I don't feel like any of my argument is invalidated by anything you have said. I have held these opinions for a long time, and many other people hold them as well. I'm glad you have instead of addressing what I have said in any way, trivialized my argument and ignored it entirely.

You say he'll be gone in two weeks, but it should've never been like this in the first place, and you don't seem to think this has been a bad choice. This makes me think the server is not going to improve for the better. Please just tell me that you're going to consider anything I've said in the future and at least try to improve.

I never said that I was being forced into doing what he said, but it is definitely favoritism. Players that earn strength and items and become more like main characters are different from admin sanctioned ones, as they are a lot more vulnerable to events of all types. I run Respite, which also has the best gear issue, and I can tell you that main characters like Dacius do not happen naturally. While some people have been clearly overpowered in the past, they still did not have the influence on the server's direction that a real main character would. Having Dacius as the main character does not fill some void that will inevitably be filled, it doesn't need to exist at all. However, even if it was a natural thing that is going to happen, I would rather a player get there through merit and roleplay, rather than be written into the story itself. 

He may appear killable to you, but his stats are miles above what a regular player could accomplish in less than multiple months. This leaves you having to assassinate or kill him through some underhanded method, which is fine, but certainly not easy, as the person who kills him will almost certainly die immediately after unless it is a completely perfect situation. A situation where there is no one else around, no potential for him to survive the initial strike (he's already shown himself to be incredibly durable and regenerative), while also having a clear method of escape. For most people avoiding a life for a life situation (which would be failrp in many circumstances) or just utter failure, it is almost completely unreasonable to expect this kind of situation to present itself almost ever for a regular character. Furthermore, the server had an actual event where we went into hell to retrieve him and bring him back to life, so it is even uncertain that he would really die even if you do kill him. No sane character would attempt to fight him without an army of others, and they might still just lose. If you think this is VERY killable, I really just don't understand how- and if I am mistaken in some way, please understand that new players will also see him in this same, invincible light. Let's also remember that if he is killed, the sun also goes away and the planet starves to death, which is something most people would probably avoid at all costs.

Even more so than that, just avoiding the character is not a solution to him either. You may avoid the character, but since he is a main character, and many events have him at the front and center, avoiding him is essentially avoiding the main storyline of the server and a good deal of roleplay alongside it. So, if you decide to not follow him, you instead choose to be OOCly bored because there's not enough roleplay, or you don't get to partake in main storyline events because he is part of the main storyline. You could argue that the same thing is true for powerful players that people wish to avoid, but in the case of those, the players are not literally written into the events (hopefully), and again, they would have gotten there by merit, rather than just being written into existence.

Edit: Let's just ignore his skills for now and look at how much ahead of a new player that is. A new player gets 10 attribute points to distribute, so they start with 10 in all stats (9 * 10), + 10, so 100 total. Dacius has 450 total points. This means that Dacius is 350 attribute points ahead of them just starting out. An experienced character should be stronger than a new one, but 350 is quite a large gap. If you were to be given 10 attribute points for a risky event involving combat and potentially death (an amount higher than any event I've been in), you would need to go through at least 35 events, any of which your character might just die in. Say that there is two of these types of events per week (probably more than average), that is 17.5 weeks, aka 122.5 days just to even catch up with him, and that's assuming that his strength stays the same, and that your character doesn't die or anything. Isn't that a tad bit ridiculous? I'm not saying a week old player should have equal stats, but four months of (ICly very dangerous) gameplay just to be "equal" with a character written into the story that is supposedly "killable", seems a bit unfair.
